The Room that Karsee Built
Well, you're probably not even going to believe that a new post has been made already, but it has. So there.Maddie's abode is almost ready for her arrival. Karsee has been working diligently (after encouraging me diligently to paint get the room painted) at preparing Maddie's primary residence. The walls are "Sassy Lilac" now, Edgar and Patricia bought Maddie a crib as her Christmas present. Barbara, my mother, gave Maddie some money for Christmas for her glider and ottoman (we used it instead for the changing table/dresser. We had to prioritize and figured Maddie would not likely settle down much even with the rocking motion if her diaper was dirty).

We've had two wonderful showers, one co-ed at Cora and Mark Taylor's house and hosted by Cora, Chris, Leida and Lisa. Maddie received many incredibly cute outfits and many of the things she'll need for her first few months of life. (She also received a pair of bloomers from the Gordon boy, Elliot (see below). Not appropriate and officially on the list now.) Karsee's co-workers at BJC also had a shower for her and for Christy, her friend and team mate who is due to deliver the same week Madeline is supposed to join us. Karsee's aunts and cousins from her father's side of the family are throwing a final family shower for Maddie on the 21st. I can't express in words how grateful we are to God to have such wonderful friends and family who have blessed us over and over again in providing for our new family's needs.
Karsee has stocked the drawers with diapers. The wet wipes are ready. Maddie's jumpers and onesies are ready and organized by age-size and all of her slippers and socks are neatly organized and ready for feet to inhabit. We're only a few weeks away now (31 days if she come when she's supposed to), so Kars prepared the phone tree a few days ago, so that the news of Maddie's arrival will go out in an organized and timely manner. We're determined to control every aspect that we can. Surely this is a symptom of feeling totally out of control.
Regardless, we really can't wait to meet our daughter face to face.

Well, being out of control is the first sign you are new parents. The bad news is you continue to feel out of control. The good news is that God keeps everything under His control and that is what keeps parents like us, sane and every so dependent on His grace.
Many, many blessings on the two of you and Maddie.
Much love,
Donna

Wow!
Sassy Lilac. I certainly hope the Doctor knows his predictions. Of course with technology as it is today, why do we question. The most important thing is that God is in control. It was great news to see a new posting. We share your enthusiasm and look forward to your God given blessing. May God continue to keep Karsee in good health for the awonderful miracle God is giving you.
Be sure we're on your calling tree.

Congrats early, Brian and Karsee!! Wish we could be there to help welcome little Maddie. Still remember you and Chris came to visit Aidan when he was 2 days old!! (or maybe it was a week...can't remember) Love you guys, Abi

I have enjoyed keeping updated by your mom as we have shared our children's pregnancies, hopes and dreams. It's fun with your baby and Jason and Naomi's being just one month apart. We've even joked about romance between young Jager and Maddie. Silly grandmothers filled with joy. Our grandchildren are already blessed to have parents who love the Lord and who will have His guidance and presence in your familyl.
Lots of love from,
Cherryl

So Karsee is pregnant?

Apparently, when I hit the 'return' key I inadvertently posted what was a promising beginning to a joke about learning of the Parr pregnancy only a few weeks before news of Maddie's birth is sure to come. It was going to be funny indeed. Real funny. Darn funny, even. As it stands now, it's just a confusing message from some anonymous person vandalizing the blog with an inane comment. Yes, of course Karsee is pregnant. There is nothing funny I can now say. I don't know what to do except to pass along unhumorous but heartfelt congratulations. -peter hough
Look at that--I learned how to make paragraph breaks without posting the message prematurely. If only my time machine was operational.

Hi Karsee, Brian & Baby :)
I love the site, it keeps me posted even though I never see you all. I love all the Baby stuff and can't wait for it's arrival.

Brian and Karsee --
We're excited for you and waiting for the good news of Maddie's arrival. There are three little cousins here on the east coast who will be ready and waiting for Maddie's first trip to DC. Don't let her get too old before that happens!

You are not the only ones excited to have a little Parr around. Cora and I can't wait to see the little booger either.
Thank you for your friendship as well.
